Tiger Moray Eel

The Tiger Moray Eel is a bold, patterned eel recognized for its banded or “tiger-like” markings and muscular, snake-like body. It typically hides in caves with only its head exposed, opening and closing its mouth to breathe—a normal behavior that often gets mistaken for aggression. While not usually aggressive toward similarly sized fish, it is a true predator and will eat anything it can fit in its mouth, making tank mate selection critical.
