Sickle fin barb

The Sickle Fin Barb is a small, elegant schooling barb best known for the dramatically tall, sail-like dorsal fin that mature males raise and flare during display and courtship. With a silvery-gold body, subtle dark markings, and that signature sickle-shaped fin, it's an understated nano fish that rewards close observation, especially when males spar harmlessly to show off. Peaceful and active, it makes an excellent choice for planted nano and community aquariums.

Notes: Prefers gentle flow, a well-planted layout with open swimming lanes, and stable water. Active and easygoing, but pairs best with calm, similarly sized tankmates that won't outcompete it at feeding time.
